Buying your share
We source the best value racehorses from sales around Europe to compete on the big days without a big price tag. We back up our commitment to value, everything we buy we take a share in too. We then divide the horse into 100 units making racehorse ownership affordable for anyone to take as many or as little units as they want of a horse that we’ve specifically selected for the value they represent. Our aim is to give you maximum enjoyment on the racecourse for as affordable a price as possible. You can take as little as one unit and as much as ten units to put you in control of your financial investment.
We welcomed all of our owners down to Tinnakill House Stud to take a look at our Stars of past and present.

Bargain Breezer Ep. 1
Jack and John visit Johnny Mutagh to have a look at Mise le Meas work up the Old Vic.
Lady Bear does a nice piece of work up the Old Vic with Mise le Meas. Listen to trainer and jockey thoughts.
Golden Mayflower gets a spin through the stalls before her barrier trial.
We’ve reviewed over 1,500 breeze up horses this year. We bought four. That’s 0.002% of the horses we considered buying. All our purchases have sold out (some in an hour), this is the next. Here’s why I think she was the best value of the lot and you should take a share right away:
🌟 Data Driven Decision - Her time of 21.8 seconds for two furlongs was comfortably inside the top 40% of the sale of 258 lots (that alone would make us pay attention) but that didn’t tell the full story. When we combined this time with her stride, vendor, biomechanics and pedigree in our algorithm she emerged in the top twenty of the whole sale and the top ten fillies. It was hugely exciting to us then we were able to buy her for €18,000 when the average of the sale was over €40,000. We thought the police might be called to Tattersalls for daylight robbery. Watch her breeze here.
🌟 Sire On The Rise - From a select amount of runners, Far Above has already produced Royal Ascot bound winner Rock N Roll Rocket for Jessie Harrington and Con Marnane. However, on Saturday he might have produced an even more exciting Royal Ascot two year old in Stratusnine. He recorded we think the highest rating of any horse in defeat in a two year old maiden this year at York on Saturday with a mark of 89+ from Timeform when beaten a neck in second despite looking like he would be tailed off - you can watch his run here. This filly represents an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Far Above in his first season. We’re pretty talented at buying at the ground floor of first season sires at the breeze ups. Last year, we bought Queen of Atlantis and according to Racing Post, she’s the second best filly by Advertise ever and we bought Order Of The Phoenix, she’s the second best by Phoenix of Spain ever according to RP.
🌟 A Case for John - John McConnell when given the goods, knows how to slam the ball in the back of the net. He bought A Case For You for just €1,000. He went on to win the Anglesey Stakes (Group 3) as a two year old before leaving John and wining the Prix de l'Abbaye (Group 1). It’s John stated ambition to keep these top class horses in the stable going forward, he took a big share in the filly to get us to send it to him. We’d love for this lady to be exactly that horse for John. He has scored before for us - his first runner for us, Sharp Object, won on debut.
There was a poignant aspect to this purchase for John and I. The filly was bred and owned by Edward Prendergast who died a month ago. Ed was a terrific guy and my dad Dermot partnered with him on this filly to give him the nomination for this mare. It would really warm our hearts to see this girl thrive in our colours as we think of the great man. Ed’s profile picture on Twitter (now X) is of this filly and we’ve loved her spirit since birth and we can prove it - here’s our tweet from two year ago:
If I had to map out a dream plan for this filly, it would be to debut in four weeks at Naas Racecourse (it’s the start of their BBQ nights) in their five furlong maiden for fillies on the 26th of June or in the following days at the Curragh in a six furlong maiden on Friday 28th of June as part of Irish Derby week. Then, perhaps, take dead aim at Galway while hoping she can shape up to be a filly to claim a €10,000 IRE incentive and lucrative black type to make her residual value a great pay day our owners.
A Fun and Profitable Venture: We love buying breezers. It’s a proven cheat code to unearthing horses with talent but at a value level if you can spot gaps in the market. Our goal is to maximise enjoyment and financial return. We’ve asked John to focus on the best possible level of ability this filly has and with luck, after seeing her breeze that can lead to huge fun and maybe a nice touch reselling her if all goes to plan.
All-Inclusive Investment: Our share prices cover all costs for 2024—purchase, veterinary care, transport, financing, training, and more—ensuring your investment is hassle-free and the filly has everything she needs for success.

Why her?
🌟 Exceptional Value: She ranked as the second fastest Havana Grey filly at the sale. While the fastest fetched £420,000, we thought our filly was a steal at just £40,000.
🌟 Proven Success: Our previous breeze-up partnership with Gavin Cromwell turned a £25,000 purchase into a €300,000 success story in just three months.
🌟 Rare Potential: Despite being one of the youngest horses in the sale, not yet two years old at her breeze, she displayed huge potential clocking a lovely time of 23.44 seconds despite tender handling. Watch her jockey sit virtually motionless here.
🌟 DNA X-Factor: She’s by one of the world’s leading young sires in Havana Grey. His Group 1 winning Vandeek was sold as a breezer last year and this year his fee sky rocketed to £55,000.
🌟 Overcame the Odds: The ground on the the day of the breeze saw persistent rain which made the ground slower and slower. She managed to overcome this being one of the final 10% to participate in the breeze and still clocking an eye catching time unlike most in her time slot.
What’s the plan?
In the past two years, we have handpicked just four breezers—three have triumphed on the tracks, and two were sold privately for over €200,000 each. This year, our only other breeze-up purchase, our Acclamation colt with Ado McGuinness, reached sold out in just two days.
A Fun and Profitable Venture: Our goal is to maximise enjoyment and financial return. Last year, Gavin Cromwell's modest stable of 13 two-year-olds in Ireland included a Royal Ascot winner. Gavin knows how to deliver when given the goods as he’s already done for us before.
Discover Our Journey: We meticulously reviewed over 200 horses to select this exceptional Havana Grey filly. Experience our selection process and see why she stood out—watch our detailed journey to find her on our YouTube video here.

Who is she?
A easy moving, eye catching filly by an exciting young sire new to Rathbarry Stud. Her stable name is Karen.
Why her?
This filly is the perfect blend of everything we like to buy - a light on her feet, athletic filly that walks for fun, a blacktype family and a sire that is going places, fast.
Jeu St Eloi is a very young French sire and yet he's already produced It's For Me, one of the leading bumper horses of 2023 and one of the leading novices of 2024. We think this filly will be adding to his credentials this year.
What is the cost?

She has already been broken in by Sonny Carey who absolutely love her. She'll be a cracker for a bumper before a big career over obstacles.
We will target a summer debut for Willie Mullins in a bumper before progressing to a career over timber.

Who is she?
An attractive, athletic Great Pretender mare - the same stallion that gave us Benie Des Dieux, Lossiemouth and our own Grangee. Her stable name is Greta.
Why her?
The only store filly by Great Pretender to sell her whole year. Great Pretender is a special sire of fillies (for our money the best) so this purchase made very little explanation. He struggles with fertility given his advanced years so the the opportunities for fillies by Great Pretender to come up at public auction are very limited, this is most likely our last chance to buy a Great Pretender filly.
She’s not just by Great Pretender, but her mother Belle Brook, a no slouch 131 rated 2m chaser is already the dam of 142 rated Mortlach.
This profile combined with a jet black colour (very much in the mould of our own Grangee), lightness on her feet and an attentive disposition meant she was one we couldn’t go home without.
What is the cost?

Where next?
She’s been broken and pre-trained by Sonny Carey where she showed a really willing attitude with plenty of Great Pretender sparkle. We gave her a hobday which our experience with Great Pretender has told us is an investment worth making. She’s now ready for her second pre-training spell before joining Willie Mullins.
Our plan will be very much in the mould of her paternal half-sister Grangee - win her bumper, try be competitive at the biggest festivals and push to achieve as high a standing as possible as she can.
She should have real residual value too - our last Great Pretender filly Grangee made €120,000 when sold at the end of her racing career.

Who is she?
Our million dollar baby for 2024, she’s got a massive strut to her stride and a deep pedigree. Her stable name is Rave.
Why her?
A huge rear end packed with power and a walk with the swagger of a boxer, we bought this filly to target the Goffs Two Millions Series with Johnny Murtagh. Our trainer is unvested, he has taken 25% himself. The Goffs Two Million series means she is eligible to run in the €1m Goffs Million along with a series of €50,000 bonuses for eligible Irish maidens. The fashion-driven market doesn’t like Raven’s Pass, but we do. 8% stakes winners to runners is hard to match by any stallion. Raven’s Pass has already delivered with this fillies’ full-sister Castle of May gaining black type, her first foal went on to sell for €250,000 and finished a highly-promising third on debut this week. She has the profile of fillies that we love - a proven stallion, an athletic physical and a trainer who knows how to deliver the goods for us. Just dream for a moment - if she could even just place in Goffs Million every syndicate member would be receiving an exceptional pay day.
What is the cost?

Who is he?
A gladiator of a colt by bullet first season sire Far Above. His stable name is Stars.
Why him?
We invested in this bodybuilder of a colt for early action with the best young trainer in France, Tim Donworth. He reminded us a lot of his electrically fast sire and we think we should know what a good one looks like - we stand him! He’s eligible for French premiums which means 80% extra prize money making him an irresistible play from Arqana October. French buyers don’t know Far Above so we felt he fell through the cracks. Tim is incentivised to deliver having taken 25% himself. We’re aiming him at the lucrative, but frequently weak €50,000 French maidens. This means with our premiums eligibility they will be worth €90,000 (as we receive a bonus of 80% extra prize money in France through being French premiums eligible) - that could be a massive pay day early doors this season for those lucky enough to nab a share.

Who is she?
A classy Study of Man filly with a profile to thrive with racing for a hugely exciting emerging force in the UK training ranks. Her stable name is Stud. She’s been pleasing her pre-trainer at Braysdown Stables and we can’t wait for a summer of fun with her.
Why her?
Study of Man was a sire we identified as one we wanted to buy the best filly we could by. We think we robbed this filly. She has a cosmetic lump (known as a splint) of no racing impact (our vet team viewed her x-rays) so landing her was like buying a Ferrari with a scratch for 90% off! She’s eligible for the £20,000 GB Bonus every time she wins an eligible race, which transforms the normally poor UK prize money into a really lucrative jurisdiction for a return on investment. We think she’s going to be a dinger for Ollie Sangster.
What is the cost?

We will be aiming GB races throughout the season to land the £20,000 bonus. She shapes as a filly that will appreciate seven furlongs and should develop in a mile to middle distance filly over time. She would be a very valuable lady if she could secure black type.

Who is she?
A cracking Harry Angel half-sister to Buratino, a winner of the Coventry Stakes (Group 2) at Royal Ascot. Her stable name is Meghan.
Why her?
The logic here was simple really. She’s a sister to a Coventry winner at Royal Ascot and with one of Ireland’s most progressive yet still under-the-radar trainers in Diego Diaz. She was sold really early at Tattersalls Ireland and I think people were in bed rather then bidding. There will be no hiding place with Diego, he likes them to go fast and we think this filly will love going fast too. Even if not, she’ll have strong residual value for forever more with that page. Her pre-trainer likes her so much he took a share in her.
She’s showed a lot of sparkle in work but then got a nasty cut. We now think she’s over it and is enjoying a period of box rest before hopefully returning to pre-training.
What is the cost?
Each 1% equity share costs €585 and that’s all inclusive of costs (purchase price, syndicate commission, training fees, vets, farrier, our team to look after you and everything else in between) until 1 August 2024 and then just €90 a quarter. She will be aimed at an early Irish maiden for her owners over six furlongs. Diego is based on the Curragh give us countless local options for debut and allowing her progress through the grades from there and Diego isn’t afraid to travel his horses too if they’re good enough. Perhaps she could repeat Diego’s success at Glorious Goodwood from last year.

Who is she?
A Grade 1 winning family combined with a really willing attitude ready for real fun with Henry De Bromhead. Her stable name is Waldo.
Why her?
Waldpark has been a sire on our radar for a while as his results from tiny numbers are excellent. We didn't think we'd also be getting a sister to Group 1 winner when we struck for one.
She is our first National Hunt horse with Henry De Bromhead, our owners have asked for one with the brilliant trainer of Honeysuckle and we're delighted to have found this lady to do just the job. She was bought in the same sale as Honeysuckle too. No pressure.
Her Grade 1 winning brother Adagio was just beaten in the Triumph Hurdle. She looks one to be on the track quickly like him and has the pedigree to go very fast when she does.
What is the cost?

She’s been broken and been through pre-training with Donie Murphy. She jumps for fun (send us a message and we’ll send you the video we sent her owners) which gives us huge excitement when he get her over timber and a fence. We’re heading full steam ahead towards a summer debut and hugely fun journey with Henry

15 years ago this week, Sea The Stars won the Derby. He has since sired 21 Group 1 winners, produced 12% stakes winners to runners and gone on to become Ireland’s most expensive stallion at €200,000.
Beside Sea The Stars in Irish racing’s pantheon of greats is Willie Mullins. Willie is Ireland’s winning-most trainer of all time. He has trained 4,378 career wins, 103 wins at the Cheltenham Festival and accomplished everything in his sport except one - he has never trained a runner by Sea The Stars.
Today, you can own the first one. This chance won’t last long…
I didn’t believe it. Ireland’s best trainer had never had a horse by Ireland’s best stallion?
We crunched the numbers. Here is a breakdown of Willie’s runners the last 15 years by stallion. He’s had 454 runs by Presenting progeny, 361 by King’s Theatre - zero by the Sea The Stars.
Now, it would be easy to just go buy a random Sea The Stars but we think we needed something special for Willie’s first.
Our contacts (some might call them spies 🕵️) in the UK alerted us that the Godolphin were selling a beautiful Sea The Stars filly unraced (making her qualified for bumpers) called Eastern Whisper. Trained by Charlie Appleby, she’d shown up very well on the gallops but just needed a bit more time to nurture her development. We bought her for £28,000gns. This wasn’t a big sale that a lot of people missed, so my quote after buying her was front page news (read the sales report here).
She’s a daughter of Jollify, a stakes placed Manduro for Andre Fabre. Her mother thrived over a trip (1 mile 4 furlongs) so she has exactly the profile as a dual purpose prospect. Now I will admit some bias - her second dam is our own “Kelly” family that has produced Red Kelly (of exceeding the speed limit fame), Ted Kelly (who recently won on debut for Louisa Carberry) and Ellen Kelly (who was a highly promising second on debut for us and Willie recently). Basically, it’s a gem of a family that always delivers if given three things - time to develop, distance to show off their stamina and a top class trainer. I think we’ve ticked all those boxes here…
If I had to map out a dream plan for this filly, it would be to give her time to develop this year (so don’t expect fireworks right away, we want to treat her like a proper filly) to become the dream dual purpose filly. This filly has a pedigree that wouldn’t be out of place in Cheltenham or Flemington so we need to treat her that way. We’ll build towards a winter campaign (if she’s ready) and then perhaps kick on for a summer of fun next year too. We’ve never bought a filly that I could imagine running at both Royal Ascot and Punchestown but this might just be the one.
